As far as K-Cups go, this is a solid choice. We’ve seen that a lot of dark roasts, French roasts, and even some of the medium roasts taste burnt and bitter. This coffee, however, brewed a consistent cup every time.
This is a medium roast blend, we could not determine the origin of the beans. They are likely of South American origin, as this is what many medium blends are made from.
This coffee had a pretty mild taste with low acidity. It is bright with notes of chocolate, whiskey, and a floral hint when the coffee cooled almost to room temperature!
The only reason that we didn’t give this five stars is because we thought the blend could have been a bit stronger. When you choose the 16 oz option, the coffee was not as strong as a normal breakfast blend!

Other Considerations
Donut Shop Coffee is a moderately-priced pod option. Prices are subject to change, but we saw that a single pod will run you less than $0.50 per pod when you buy one of the larger boxes.
Similar breakfast blends run from $0.25 per pod up to $1 per pod (lower quantity packs). This blend tastes pretty good compared to the cheaper options and brewed a more expensive cup. There’s a reason why Donut Shop Coffee is one of the most popular K-Cup brands. So if you haven’t tried it yet, we’d absolutely recommend it.
